The library collection consists of material both generated and collected by ACT. This material includes - annual reports; speeches and published articles by staff members; legal documents including petitions and complaints filed before the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Trade Commission and ACT's testimony in various court cases; reports from studies commissioned by ACT; conference agendas and programs; press releases; periodical clippings; and ACT publications including books, handbooks, and periodicals, document the work of the organization. Also included in the collection are materials acquired by ACT, such as research reports, videotapes and subject files of periodical clippings, brochures and other ephemera. The subject files relate to a wide variety of subjects including: children and television, advertising and children, the commercial networks, public television, and cable TV.
